The railway network of that time was larger than the modern airway network from Riga.

The Orthodox Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Jelgava looks like a small doll house.
The church was built in 1889 in the middle of cemetery, and despite its little size, it can fit 200 parishioners.
