An interesting house (1929) is located on Jana Asara iela, next to
Daugava Stadium.
It is built in form of Greek letter π with fountain inside.

Shoemaker is quite rare profession in developed world, although in Latvia it is still quite common to bring your old shoes to cobbler in order to repair.

You wouldn't believe but this photo was taken in color mode a few days ago :)
For me it looks more like it was taken right after Second World War by a fighter pilot flying over Riga :)

One of the most stinking places in Riga is Daugavgriva Water Purification Plant, which was opened in late 1985.
Picture was taken flying over outdoor sedimentation tanks, which operate even when air temperature is much lower than zero.

Taking photos at world famous exhibition
